The 3 signs your hands are still stuck in winter — and how to finally fix them.

The season changed — but your hands didn't get the memo. After months of cold air, indoor heating, and constant hand washing, your skin's moisture barrier is depleted, your cuticles are ragged, and the visible signs of winter damage don't just disappear when the calendar flips. Spring's fluctuating temperatures, wind, and returning UV exposure add a whole new layer of stress before your skin has a chance to recover.

Your hands deserve a powerful, plant-based renewal routine.

Prevent and Treat:

  • Cracked, Lingering Dryness

Winter's damage doesn't vanish with warmer weather. Cracked knuckles, rough patches, and a compromised moisture barrier carry right into spring — and the swinging temperatures and spring winds keep stripping moisture before healing can take hold. How to renew them: intensive plant-based hydration with shea butter, sunflower seed oil, and probiotic ferments that penetrate deep to repair the skin barrier and seal in moisture through every season shift.

  • Raw, Peeling Cuticles

The transition from dry winter air to spring humidity causes peeling around the nail bed and cuticles — and gardening, yard work, and spring cleaning make it worse. Ragged, neglected cuticles make your entire hand look aged and unkempt. How to renew them: nourish cuticles with a concentrated blend of sweet almond oil, jojoba, and biotin that strengthens, softens, and repairs seasonal damage while promoting healthy nail growth.

  • Dull, Sun-Exposed Skin

Winter left behind fine lines, uneven texture, and brown spots — and spring UV means new damage is already beginning. Without intervention, hands that suffered all season start to show their age fast. How to renew them: restore youthful, luminous hands with plant-powered actives like bakuchiol (nature's retinol), niacinamide, and vitamin C that resurface, brighten, and protect as you step back into the sun.

Why I created PAUME.

I have spoken to so many people who feel self conscious about their hands. Complaints of eczema, chronic dryness, cracked skin, thin and brittle nails, age spots, wrinkles, and crepey skin texture. And it's not surprising - our hands are our second most exposed body part, and we often neglect them from our body care routines. It was hearing these stories that inspired me to create a simple daily skincare routine for hands. By using skincare grade ingredients on your hands every day, you can prevent the premature signs of aging, and enjoy soft, hydrated, youthful and glowing hands.
